Market conditions for asparagus in northwest Mexico

This article explores the market opportunities for asparagus production in northeastern Mexico. It seeks to present data from the consumer, which give certainty of an option for agricultural development in this region of the country for this purpose. It is based on the principle that the market conditions the structures of organizations. The methodological basis is based on the analysis of indirect sources and annual reports made by the magazine The Packer (The Packer's Fresh Trends 2021), specializing in consumer studies in the area of fruits and vegetables. The evidence denotes that asparagus is a relevant crop for its establishment in this region and that it is profitable because it is consumed by segments of specialized consumers, of good level of economic income.
