Estabilidad en rendimiento de triticale (X. Triticosecale Wittmack) en seis ambientes del norte de México

Fourteen lines of whole triticale and a check wheat variety were evaluated in five localities, with the aim to assay the interaction genotype-environment and the degree of stability of each line. The variance analysis indicated significant differences for the number of spikelets per ear, weight per hectoliter, yield, length of ear, number of grains per ear and weight of 1000 grains in all the localities or the majority of the studied localities. The combined analysis showed highly significant differences for all the characteristics in locali ties, genotypes and the interaction between genotypes and localities. The three localities: M˙zquiz, Abasolo and Buenavista, were the most propitious for the manifestation of the traits in the genotypes. Genotypes 66-87, 42-87, 2-88 and 5-88, were had a good answer in all environments, but they were inconsistent. The trait yield displayed the greater stability, followed by weight of 1000 grains and number of spikelets per ear. On the basis of this study the lines 66-87 and 3-88 were were selected as very stable varieties.
