Statistics Properties of the 'Line-Intercept' and 'Stocked-Quadrat' Sampling in the Estimation of Plant Cover and Density. The statistical properties of 'unbiased estimator', sufficiency and consistency for the line intercept, and 'stocked-quadrat' sampling were theoretically studied; in both cases the proper ties in the variables; canopy cover, and density in units of interest were demonstrated. Relative efficiency was proven taking solely the vegetal density for unbiased and consistent estimators, being the highest the estimation for line intercept.
